The library tutorial was very interesting and helpful. I could see myself using it in the fall when I have a research paper to do or a bibliography or even to look up a book in the FGCU library. When we just had to do an annotated bibliography this tutorial would have helped me tremendously! I would honestly use everything I learned in this tutorial. Three things I didn’t know coming into to this is not knowing how to cite anything and the format of it. The other two things is using a scholarly journal and a database I have never used those types of research before, they look like they’re going to be very useful but complicated at the same time. On the other hand its common sense not to plagiarize and to have consequences for those actions. I also feel like I know a lot about Bigfoot, Skunk Apes, and Sasquatch and now I know the format of citing citations and how to use it!

Doritos Commerical
I chose this 2010 Doritos Super Bowl commercial because it’s hilarious. It shows a little black boys mom about to go on a date with a new guy. The little boy from the start doesn’t like him, especially when he’s checking his mom out right in front of him. Then he sits down trying to grab one of the boy’s chips. The little boy then slaps the man and says, “Keep your hands off my mama and keep your hands off my Doritos” you don’t usually see a boy his age act like that to a grown man. It persuades you to buy the product because as you see it looks like it gave the little boy more energy. When he slapped the man he slapped him pretty hard. I think Doritos does have competition with other chip brands but also I feel like a lot of people do still buy them because they’re so good.

Observing
Today is my first day back at home since moving down to Fort Myers. It’s a weird feeling for me because I was just getting so used to everything down there. But now being home I can go to my favorite place which is this little park by my house. I usually go there to just think when I have something on my mind that’s bothering me or to swing on the swings. Next to it there’s a forest and railroad tracks that I stare out at. As I sit on the swings after it just poured down rain looking out at the forest I see raindrops still dripping from the leaves, squirrels scurrying up and down the trees, and not one bird in sight. It smells like there’s no life in the air. It’s very humid out and still overcast as if it’s about to rain again. The railroad tracks are old, rusty and broken. They haven’t been used in years. There are weeds growing that are up to my knees in between the tracks. It’s sad looking at it now because about 4 years ago they were up and going. I used to go out to the tracks when a train would go by and the conductor would throw lollipops out at me. It’s so crazy to me how little places like this can go from being so beautiful to nothing in a matter of only a couple years.

About Me
Hi, my name is Jordan Andrews-Sheldon. I am 18 years old and I was born on October 24, 1991 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. My family and I moved to Sarasota when I was pretty young so I don’t really remember it to well but we go up and visit quite often. I absolutely love it there especially when it snows! They have one of the biggest malls in the United States every time I’m there I spend so much money on clothes. I have two younger brothers which I am really close to one is 14 and the other one is 6. My future goal is to be a wedding planner because I would love to someday make someone’s big day the best day of their lives. My favorite things to do when I’m not busy are go shopping with my girls and tanning at the beach. I love going out on my boat to go fishing with my guy friends. I always seem to catch bigger fish then them which make them so mad. I enjoy listening to hip hop but listening to country especially at a concert packed with people makes it so much more fun than hip hop!
For a really long time I have really wanted to go backpacking through Europe with my best friend and explore the many things the countries throughout Europe hold. To see the different traditions and culture of places so far from home I can’t wait for. I would also love to go shopping down 5th avenue in New York and buy everything! Traveling is a big dream of mine and I can’t wait to fulfill it.
